| details: | This year's Kistler Fishout will be on Sunday, May 22, the weekend before Memorial Day.
We made it earlier to free up that holiday weekend for those you have made plans.
We could use help in organizing this fishout, especially in the food and drinks.
This is a great time, a very social occasion, spiced up with good fishing. The rains
this year mean plenty of water and the prospects for healthy, aggressive fish. George will be signing people up over the next two general meetings. Be prepared to sign and pay. This year the rod fee per person is $20. Come join us for a very special day! |

| details: | We will start Saturday morning off with an on-water nymphing clinic taught
by Ron Hart, a well-known expert and guide on the area's waters. Ron
will cover topics including: stream entomology, water reading, rigging,
casting technique, drag free drifts, hook set, playing, and finally
landing and releasing fish. By the way, one of my favorite patterns
for the Upper Sac and McCloud rivers is Ron's
Dark Lord, a variant of the Prince Nymph. Immediately after the clinic we will break for lunch (bring a sandwich) and then fish the river in the afternoon either right at the park, or if there is a consensus, we can hike up to beautiful Mossbrae Falls. In any event, if you've never fished the Upper Sac, you're in for a treat! Full details are available in this [pdf] document. |
