| quarry: | Spotted bass, largemouth bass, some stripers, and occasional large crappie. The catch rate tends to be 10-30 fish per day per angler. The fish are up shallow that time of year. The date is usually right on for the spotted bass, but a little late for the white bass. |

Wednesday morning drive to the horse pack outfitters; load up horses and mules (with riders and stuff). 3 ½ to 4 hour ride into the most beautiful wilderness and lakes in the Sierras. Fish for Rainbow, Brook, and Golden trout for five days. Celebrate a birthday. Return home on Monday. |
