Green River, 2007
Rugged Weather, Good Fishing
by
April 2007
The usual suspects and a couple of
new ones were rounded up below Flaming Gorge Dam on the Green River at
Dutch John, Utah in late April. The usual suspects were Mary
Nishioka and daughterLauré,
guides
Doug Burton and Darren Bowcutt.
New additions to this perennial enterprise were Ron Nunes and Mike McGuire.

The story of the Green River Fishout has been told quite a few times by PFF'ers see

Picking and choosing from these the story of this trip could be
told, We fished the A section twice and the B section once.
We generally fished small (#18) nymphs ;under indicator
balloons mornings, and had blue winged olive hatches in the afternoons
which made good dry fly fishing two of the days on the A section, but
was blown away by high wind the day we were on the B section.
Enough good can't be said about our guides Doug and Darren, superb boat
handlers, finders of fish, untanglers of leaders, tyers of
effective flies, fishing coaches and hot lunch chefs during our drifts
with them.

So Does RonAs in past years, the group stayed at
Spring Creek Ranch, just over the border in Wyoming, comfortable accomodations, good food, and no quaint Utah liquor laws to have to evade.
