We ended up with five tiers (of whom two submitted both a dry and a nymph/emerger) for a total of seven different patterns. As you can see from the pictures, everyone did a great job. I can attest to the effectiveness of Bob's Adams Emerger they worked superbly on the McCloud when the trout were totally ignoring a standard parachute Adams! This one is Bob's own creation, so if you want your own, you'll have to either tie them yourselves or get them at the Installation Dinner where a full set of these flies will be auctioned off to raise funds for the club.
We will probably run more swaps after the trout season ends in November, so if you have any ideas for themes, please send e-mail to: with your ideas.
