 Request for Fly Donations
what: One of the most popular events at July's Installation Dinner is the silent auction of flies tied by all of you. The dinner date is rapidly approaching, but so far no flies have been donated! Help out the club and your fellow non-tying PFF comrades by tying up a dozen (or two) of your favorite pattern for the auction next month.

Put any fly donations in a plastic bag (or other container) and Dave Kruss will transfer them to our custom PFF fly boxes for the auction. Contact Dave to make arrangements for your delivery, or, as usual, you can drop them off at The Great River Company Fly Shop in San Mateo (corner "B" St. and 3rd Ave).

Stan Konrad Wants Partners For Alaska Do-It-Yourself
when: July or August 2004
the plan: An unguided float trip on an Alaskan river. I have no definite plans as of yet, just in the process of researching. About ten years ago we had some speakers, I believe from a Fresno club, who did it every year and loved it. They just brought their inflatable raft, got a float plane to fly them in and pick them up a week later downriver. Said that it wasn't too costly. Any members interested in such a trip should contact .
Roger Finke's Silver Salmon Alaska Fishout
when:18–25 September 2004
where:Tsiu River, Alaska

details: This stream, about midway between Cordova and Yakutat, is regarded by many as the premier Silver (Coho) salmon stream in Alaska. The fish are larger than in many other streams, ranging 20–25 pounds, and will readily take surface lures. We will overnight in Yakutat on the way up, and in Seattle on the way back, spending 5+ days fishing.
