Reserve your Seat at the Fly Fishers Hall of Fame
what: Every year the NCCFFF adds a worthy Californian fly fisher into the hall of fame. This year's honoree is educator, conservationist, author, and award-winning instructor, Ken Hanley. The induction ceremony is always a fun event, featuring dinner combined with lot of socializing and fundraising activities. It is almost always sold out, so reserve your tickets now.
when: February 19, 2005; starts at 5 pm.
where: Marin Rod & Gun Club, San Rafael (immediately following The Fly Fishing Show)
more info: Reservation forms and more details are available at the NCCFFF website.
 Call for Articles
what: As your website editor, I have to announce that the pipeline of articles is drying up. It is the middle of winter, after all. If you have an interest in writing an article about a trip, a fly, a short story, or anything fly fishing, please contact me. I can help you get it in shape and published on the PFF website.

 Spring Fly Swap
what: We're planning another swap. A fly swap is a way of exchanging flies. Typically the group selects a theme (mayflies, emergers, terrestrials, etc.) and each participant ties a dozen or so of one pattern. Then all the flies are pooled together, and each tier gets back two flies of each pattern. To see the results of last year's swap, see the fly tying page. We are currently soliciting themes so if you have a favorite type of fly, please express your preferences.

 Lead a Fishout
what: Spring is just around the corner and we are planning fun fishing trips for 2005. Volunteer to lead a trip with your fellow PFF'ers to one of your favorite places. (Tip: Fishmaster tips are in your annual roster and on our website.)

 The Fly Fishing Show
what: Unlike the ISE, the Fly Fishing Show is dedicated only to fly fishing. It's a wonderful opportunity to overdose on fishing gear, casting demo's, and fishing seminars. For more details, see the show's website.
when: February 18 – 20.
where Marin County Civic Center, San Rafael
 Isle de Holbox
what: Not too late to get aboard for the Tarpon, Bone Fish, Permit and Snook fishout in Mexico. There are still openings and we will close out the trip soon. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the talk in January.
