The induction ceremony is always a fun event, featuring dinner combined with lot of socializing and fundraising activities. It is almost always sold out, so reserve your tickets now.
when: February 19, 2005; starts at 5 pm.
where: Marin Rod & Gun Club, San Rafael (immediately following The Fly Fishing Show)
more info: Reservation forms and more details are available at the NCCFFF website.
 Lead a Fishout
what: While the shorter days and colder weather signal the end of the year, it is never too early to begin planning for 2005. Volunteer to lead a trip with your comrades to one of your favorite places. (Tip: Fishmaster tips are in your annual roster and on our website.)

 Speakers for 2005
January: The speaker for January 2005 will be Bill Martin of the Blue Dun Flyshop who will be speaking on Isle De Holbox, an island a short distance off the northern tip of the Yucatan peninsula famous for tarpon fishing.
February: February's speaker will be Jack Dennis. For those of you who missed Jack's talk last year get another chance to hear a master of fly fishing.

 Return 2004 Steelhead Cards
what: By law, those of you who fished for steelhead (and purchased a card) must return them to the Dept. of Fish and Game by January 31, 2005. This applies even if you tried, but did not catch a California steelhead in 2004. (That is probably most of us.)
 ISE Fly Fishing Show
what: February is show time. One of the best occurs in our own back yard – the San Mateo International Sportsmen's Expo (ISE). An entire hall is dedicated solely to fly fishing and talks by fly fishing personalities like Gary Borger, Bob Clouser, and Jack Dennis. If you are thinking of buying a new rod this year, this is your best opportunity to test cast the same class rod from many different manufacturers in a single afternoon. Just be sure to bring your own reel so that you are testing each rod with exactly the same line. More details at the show's website.
when: February 3 – 6.
where San Mateo County Expo Center
 The Fly Fishing Show
what: Not to be confused with the ISE, the Fly Fishing Show is your second opportunity to overdose on fishing gear, casting demo's, and fishing seminars. For more details, see the show's website.
when: February 18 – 20.
where Marin County Civic Center, San Rafael
