| | Spring Fly Swap |
| what: |
A fly swap is a way of exchanging flies. Typically
the group selects a theme (mayflies, emergers, terrestrials, etc.) and
each participant ties a dozen or so of one pattern. Then all the flies
are pooled together, and each tier gets back two flies of each pattern.
To see the results of last year's swap, see the fly
tying page. |
| update: |
A number of PFFers have expressed interest and we may even be able
to run two swaps simultaneously. Themes appear to be "subsurface" and "dries," groupings
that are vague enough to cover just about anything you might want to tie. More information
at the March meeting.

| | Free Camping Stuff |
| what: |
I have come into posession - legally I might add - of a couple of camping items that
you might find useful. They are free to the first PFF member(s) to email me. I will allocate stuff
by the order that emails arrive.
|
| item 1: |
Three blue butane/propane gas canisters. They are French so they are really camping "gaz."
Size listed on the top is 190g or 6.75 oz and there is a number on top: C206.
I use a MSR Whisperlite stove (settings: afterburner, flooded)
so I have no way of using these.
|
| item 2: |
One Super Sun Shower II (gotta love that alliteration). Five (5!) gallon capacity. Just
fill with water and set out in the sun. Voila, instant shower well, actually the box says
you have to wait 3 hours. Personally, I don't see why
you would want to be clean when your tent partner smells like an old shoe. So, free to a clean
hiker.
