A Report From Erckenbrack Park

August 2004

It has been a long time since a casting report has appeared in the Bulletin, and due to its significance it's time for it to reappear.

June's casting workshop saw the re-appearance of Ken Eugene. The two instructors this day were Bob Shadel and myself. Both Bob and I were thrilled to see Ken return and be active. In fact, by the time Bob and I arrived Ken was hard at work with a novice and intermediate casters. Unfortunately Ken turned them over to us and we had the opportunity to get some exercise.

It's truly beneficial to the club to have a fly fisherman of Ken's caliber to be associated with our club. If the truth be known, Ken is a founding member of the club and one of the few who organized and produced the first fly fishing expo that became Ed Rice's International Sportsman's Exposition of San Mateo.
