A Year with the PFF

by

February 2006

What do you get when you throw together twelve web issues, over 100 digital images, scores of PFF members, iTunes music, and cool software? You get hundreds of megabytes of multi-media! Attendees of this year's PFF Holiday Dinner were treated to this show highlighting the PFF's many activities in 2005. Cameo appearances are made by nearly everyone who sent in articles and photos to the web editor.

If you missed it, or wish to see it again, I have re-rendered the production into three smaller chunks for download by broadband users. I can't emphasize that last part enough. Even compressed as much as possible, the files are still about 6 MB each (for the Windows Media Player version) and about 20 MB each (for the MPEG-1 version). It would take a dial-up user several days to download these files, so please don't even think of starting! Apple users should be able to play the MPEG files in QuickTime.

To view the show, right click on each of the files you wish to download and select the "Save Target As" or "Save Link Target As" from the menu that appears. Save the file to a location on your computer, then double click on your downloaded files to play them. The Windows Media Files require The Windows Media Player version 9 or higher.

Windows Media Player Files MPEG - 1 Files
Part 1: January - May (6 MB) Part 1: January - May (18 MB)
Part 2: June - August (5 MB) Part 2: June - August (15 MB)
Part 3: Sept - Dec (7.5 MB) Part 3: Sept - Dec (22 MB)
Parts 1-3 in single wmv file (18.5 MB)

Don't forget, right click on the links to download and save the video file on your local computer's hard drive. If you left click, the playback will be choppy because the servers can't stream the file quickly enough. Get some popcorn and enjoy! Also, you can help create the 2006 show by sending the web editor your fishing pictures!
