More Imporant Than Fly Fishing?

I would like to deviate a little this month. There is more to our lives than the avid pursuit of finned quarry. Dave Krus recently e-mailed several of the members of PFF asking them to purchase the breast cancer edition of stamps from the US Postal Service.

It would be great if were possible and so easy to support every honorable cause.

There are a multitude of just and important causes that we need to take personal responsibility for. Having a prostate check-up, or a mammogram, or a blood pressure check are only a few. Take time out from fishing, tying flies, or just reading the paper to protect yourself. Each year many sad events occur above and beyond the simple addition of a new digit to the year. And don't forget that Mandy will be doing her basic CPR class later this year for those of you who would like to learn the technique or to refresh your previous training.

With that all said- get your gear tuned up, cleaned and ready for the next big trip. Be safe out there.
