Fly Tying Macaw Nymph, Trinity River Fishout Round Table. IFFF fly Tying Skills Program Introduction

Happy new year to all our fishing buddies. January's work shop will help bring in the New Year with some good camaraderie and great fellowship. The evening will go as follows:

1. At 7:00pm there will be a roundtable on the Trinity River fish out planned for January 22 to the 24. All things pertinent to that event will be discussed with the Fish Master Mike Pinelli

2. At 7:45 John Margaroni. will introduce The  Federation of Fly Fishers Group fly tying program. This program has been created to improve an individual’s fly tying skills while simultaneously creating bonds with said organization. This Program is open to all members.  Here is the Link for review:

3. At 8:00pm Richard Izmirian will show our members how to tie a Macaw Tail Nymph.

This simple and effective nymph is tied a la the pheasant tail nymph, so consider it a two for one opportunity.   Participants will get their own macaw tail feather to take home.

The session is appropriate for novices through experts, and anyone should feel free to offer embellishments to the basic pattern.

Bring your vise and essential tying tools.  Your bobbin should be threaded with fine olive or brown thread.  We will have size

Hope to see all of you there so we can bring in the New Year with fishing stories, fishing plans, bugs and bubbles.
