Tenkara is a Japanese form of flyfishing utilizing a long Tenkara rod and no reel.  It is OK to bring your Tenkara rod or your more traditional tackle and join us for some great small stream fishing near Yosemite.

I plan to set up camp in the Sweetwater campground. I will be arriving on Friday morning, July 22 (sites go fast so get their early).  The campground is a 3 hour drive from the bay area.  This is car camping so feel free to bring all of the creature comforts.   We had a good time last year swapping lies around the campfire and enjoying some outstanding food.

There is a moderate to easy hike into the stream.  This is high sierra fishing so the fish are a little wary but not overly selective.  I recommend 2-5 wt rods and a floating line.  Long leaders going down to 7x are in order.

This fishout is limited to 12 people - register early!
