Spey Casting
This is a great opportunity to learn and practice spey casting with a guide.

Here is a great video of Bill Lowe: Double Spey Casting

It will be 6-hours of spey casting instruction and "fishing" for the last 2 hours with a group of 4-6 PFF members.

Cost: will Be $130 with a minumum of 4 rods to a maximum 6 rods only.

What will be taught:  Spey Rod Discussion, Spey Lines, Switch Cast, Double Spey, and possibly Snap-T (only need Double Spey to fish where we'll be fishing)

Location: American River - either Gristmill River Access or Upper Sunrise Access, depending on which one is fishing better.  Location may change due to fishing and water conditions.

Spey rods will be provided if you don't have one.

Each person needs:  license, waders, boots, hat, glasses, sack lunch

Meet Time:  Friday, May 30th, at 1:00 til 8:00'ish (low light is the for the shad-grab)

What to bring:  Drivers will need $5 for park fee.  Fishing License.
Spey or switch rod and tip system, if you have one.  Waders and
boots.  Hat and glasses.  Sack Lunch.  Folding Chair.

I'll have an ice chest with plenty of waters, as well as plenty of spey and switch outfits. I'll also have leader/tippet and flies. For anyone who ties, here is a link to my favorite shad fly, Dave Howard's
