Truckee Mentor Fishout – $50.00
The Truckee fishout includes a morning seminar on fly fishing technique, and an evening pot luck at Rich Slades Cabin. This is a mentor fishout with preference going to novice fly fishers. The limit for this fishout is 15. If you would like to mentor some of our new members please contact Dave Peterson - 650-400-6814
Registration is closed
The Truckee River is another Mentor fishout. If you are new to fly fishing or just want to learn more please join me on the Truckee. This year we have arranged to have Bill Carnazzo do an on-stream clinic.
Bill ran a clinic 3 years ago on short line nymphing. Great experience for all who participated. As always, this fishout is tailored for novice fly fishers.
Saturday night we will have a pot-luck at Rich Slade's cabin. The club will supply the 3 B's, burgers and brats and beer. The members supply the salad, appetizers and deserts.
The Truckee is never an easy stream to fish. That said, it is a great place to learn. Don't forget your wading belt and PFD is you have one.
Rods are typically 4-6 wt. Most people nymph although there can be a hatch in the early morning or afternoon.
