Car camping at it's best.  6 miles from the Kennedy Meadow's resort this is a great place to kick back and fish for trout.  By mid-September the crowds are gone and the camp grounds are quiet. Located 60 miles east of Sonora on highway 108 the Brightman Flat Campground is an easy drive from the Bay Area.

I will arrive on Friday, September 14th.  My first choice will be the Brightman Flat Campground but if I don't find a camp site I may have to move to one of the many other camps.  If you don't see me or my large orange tent then look on the camp bulletin board for a note.

Fishing is mostly small stream for rainbow, brook and brown trout. This time of year waders are definitely optional.  3-5 weight rods, floating line.  Water levels tend to be low and the water clear.

Saturday night I will probably head down to the restaurant in Kennedy Meadow for dinner.

Questions - call Dave Peterson at 650-400-6814.
