Fly Tying Boot Camp

This is a program designed for all levels of fly tiers. It is a tie-along format. Instructors include Harold Patterson, Dave Kruss, and Mike McGuire

There will be a $10 fee for lunch and materials. Pay online with PayPal or pay at the door.

There will be a structured program for beginning fly tiers including those who have never tied a fly before. Beginners will learn to tie popular trout flies, the infamous Wolly Worm, Elkhair Caddis, Hare’s Hair Nymph, Pheasant tail, Beadhead nymphs and before the end of the day they will learn the most effective way to tie a parachute dry fly.

Beginners would not need to have tools. All the materials and tools will be provided for those at that level.

For intermediate and advanced tiers there will be intermediate and advanced tiers demonstrating patterns that you might not be familiar with as well the chance to pose questions to the tiers regarding problems you might have regarding technique. Please bring what tools you do have.

There will be door prizes.
