March Workshop: Pyramid Lake, Fish Like a Pro Fly Tying Class (Reserved) and Introduction to Fly Tying

7:00 pm – Pyramid Lake – Michael Malekos (All. Note early start time)

PFF member and California Fly Fisher Contributing Author Michael Malekos will show a 10-minute video produced by a member of California Fly Fishers Unlimited about Pyramid Lake.  This lake’s native Lahontan Cutthroat trout, which historically reached 40 pounds and were fished commercially before dam diversions and overfishing eliminated them from the lake, are making an historic comeback.  For those who have never fished Pyramid Lake, come learn about this great and improving fishery!

7:30 pm -- Fish Like a Pro Fly Tying Class (Reserved)

Attendance to this class is restricted to those PFF members who registered and paid for this intermediate fly tying class, led by EJ Melzer.

7:30 pm -- Intro to Fly Tying Demonstration and "Try It Yourself!" (All)

This is a continuation from the February workshop, for any PFF member who would like to try fly tying.

Dan McMillan and Frank Cavaliere, PFF Fly Tying Co-Chairs, will be holding beginning fly tying sessions monthly through April. No experience necessary, it will be tailored for novices. Tools and materials will be supplied for the sessions. Just bring your desire to learn!
