  • PFF Yuba Private Water Fishout - registration opens Dec. 6.

Registration is closed

Registration opens Mon. Dec. 6

The University of California Regents have granted us access to their private water.  This PFF fishout is a great opportunity to fish for 2 days with other members of the club. Sausage or hot dog style lunch will be provided on Saturday. Be sure to bring plenty of water for this event. The private section has a nice covered picnic area with tables and BBQ's. Private restrooms are next to the parking area.

$55 total per member for 2 days of fishing.

This event will be limited to 12 attendees

We are timing this fishout to put us on river when the Lower Yuba's famed Skwala Stoneflies start to hatch.  These are huge flies for this time of year (1/2 - 7/8" long) and Yuba's wild rainbows will key on both nymphs and adults.  It is one of the most anticipated hatches of all Central Valley tailwaters.

Note: Given the time of year, we will closely monitor the weather and river flows.  If this area experiences storms (wouldn't that be nice!) that increase flows or make the water too turbid to fish, PFF will work with UC Regents to reschedule the trip.  The fishmasters will be in contact with all attendees should that occur.
