Come join us for a presentation on the Eel River with Fly Fishing Guide and Author, Ryan Johnston.
Ryan will be presenting fly fishing the Eel River for winter steelhead. He will talk about the ins and outs of catching these grey ghosts while giving you insider tips from two decades of fishing on the north coast. Foggy coastal mornings, tall redwoods, chrome steelhead, and legendary stories, will make for a great entertaining evening.
Ryan is the author of two fly fishing books: A Reel Job & Reelly: Unbelievable Fly Fishing Guide Stories. https://www.amazon.com/stores/Ryan-Johnston/author/B09QJHHQTY?ref=ap_rdr&isDramIntegrated=true&shoppingPortalEnabled=true

Walk and wade the Middle Fork of the Feather River for wild rainbow trout with Orvis guide Mike Pease. We will be focused on streamer fishing for agressive winter trout for this trip. 4 members maximum. All experience levels welcome.
We are looking to fill this Fishout by January 31st so act quickly.
Allen Cary will be facilitating monthly fly casting instruction for all levels and skills development program casting course set-up for assessments. Come to simply practice your stroke or to attempt to earn your bronze, silver, and gold casting levels. Get out to practice your one-handed casting stroke or test your casting in the skills course and work to improve your distance and accuracy.
In order to graduate through the program casters need to complete a series of specific casts and casting requirements at different distances within certain target ranges. Members of the Skills Development Committee will be on hand to observe and assist casters. PFF is committed to instructing and graduating as many club members as possible. Come out and test your casting stroke and see where you can take your skills. All members welcome!
